East Melbourne Allied Health’s

director is Rachael McCluskey.

Rachael is an Occupational Therapist

who has completed her master’s degree

at La Trobe University and has been granted AHPRA registration.

Rachael has specialised in caring for the elderly in both the community setting and Residential Aged Care.

She has also completed further training in supporting people living with dementia and their carers in the home environment ( COPE) and has experience in the principles of palliative care.

Rachael’s experience with Encara Allied Health has helped develop her professional practice and built on the clinical reasoning skills she fostered in her studies.  Rachael has skills in optimising patients Personal Activities of Daily Living (PADLs), and ensuring they maintain their Domestic activities of daily Living ( DADLs) and Community Access (CADLs).

Rachael’s Personal Care role demonstrates her empathy for the elderly in the community and willingness to advocate for their patient centred care. 

She also has 8+ years’ experience in the corporate world which has instilled in her ideals of corporate governance & integrity. Time in the resources industry has given her a safety mindset and an enthusiasm to develop practical solutions to everyday problems.

A First-Class Science background has given her a grounding in Evidence Based Practice & Advanced Research Techniques.
